KINGWOOD — Preston County artists, performers and food vendors are being sought for the Second Annual Preston County Music & Arts Festival.

The festival will be held 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. Aug. 4 on Price Street, in downtown Kingwood. There is no charge for participants.

The festival will offer Preston County artists of all ages a chance to show and sell their work or perform. Organizers are seeking painters, sculptors, pottery makers, singers, dancers, actors, poets and musicians who play a variety of instruments.

Also welcome are writers of fiction, non-fiction and poetry. While the artists feed the soul, food vendors are needed to provide ribs, pulled pork, hamburgers, hot dogs, fresh cut fries, ice cream and other quality foods to those attending.

Prestonians interested in participating in the festival are asked to send an email with a description of their art or performance and an attachment with a sample of their work or a menu of food items to be served to: by May 1.

Spaces are limited and will be assigned on a first come, first served basis. The event is co-sponsored by the Preston Community Arts Center and Arts Preston, the Arts Council of Preston County.
