MORGANTOWN — A Morgantown area native was murdered in Florida last week.

Zackery Ryan Ganoe, now of Kissimmee, Fla., was killed April 11 in central Florida. According to his obituary, he was born in 1996 in Morgantown.

According to the Osceola Sheriff’s Department: On April 11, deputies went to a Days Inn for a reported stabbing at 9:10 a.m. Outside of the room they found an unidentified man with injuries. That man went to the hospital for treatment.

Inside, they found another man, identified as Ganoe, with injuries. Ganoe was pronounced dead.

Deputies arrested Emerita Eileen Mapp, 33, of Orlando, Fla. for the murder. She as charged with first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder.
