CHARLESTON — Delegate Mike Pushkin capped an otherwise brief and routine second-day House floor session with a speech criticizing the recent controversial spending of the state Supreme Court and announcing he’ll be introducing a resolution to explore impeaching the chief justice.

Its actions, he said, have eroded public trust. “I hope we can restore the confidence and the trust in the judiciary.”

Pushkin is hoping other delegates will sign on to his resolution to order the Judiciary Committee to investigate whether Chief Justice Allen Loughry should be impeached.
